On Thursday, July 24, the final round and awards ceremony of the 2025 Travel Innovation Idea Contest was held at Yanolja Square on the first floor of MDM Tower.
Co-hosted by Yanolja Research and Nol Universe, this year’s contest—now in its third edition—was held under the theme of “Revitalizing Local Tourism.”
The event followed a schedule that included a welcome speech by Director Jang Soo-cheong of Yanolja Research, presentations and Q&A sessions from the top 10 finalist teams, and the awards ceremony.
The Grand Prize was awarded to Kim Young-hwan, who proposed a strategy for connecting local tourist attractions using the PRISM framework based on network analysis.
In addition, one team received the First Prize, two teams received Second Prizes, and six teams were awarded Honorable Mentions, with total prize money amounting to 13 million KRW.
Winners also received priority consideration for internships at Nol Universe.
Yanolja Research and Nol Universe are currently reviewing the potential commercialization of some winning ideas and plan to continue supporting the development of innovative ideas from young talents.
