Objective

Yanolja Research aims to comprehensively analyze the current conditions of the lodging industry in Korea and provide reliable market information to various stakeholders. For this, Yanolja Research analyzes three key performance indexes for major lodging categories including hotels, motels, pensions, and vacation rentals: Average Daily Rate (ADR), Occupancy Rate (OCC), and Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR).

Data Collection and Analysis Method

Lodging industry performance indexes are collected and analyzed using the following methods:

  • - NOL (formerly Yanolja Platform): Aggregated and statistical data on nationwide lodging reservations and operational status
  • - AirDNA: Aggregated and statistical data on vacation rental operations
  • - SanhaIT: Aggregated and statistical data on lodging operation status
  • - In-house Survey: Quarterly survey results targeting lodging businesses nationwide

- Analysis methods

  • - Integration of proprietary and external data to conduct performance analysis by lodging type and region
  • - Calculation of indicators such as RevPAR based on ADR and OCC
  • - Presentation of outlook through analysis of seasonal and trend factors
